If you want Safe, Delicious and Nutritious Beef every time you serve it to your family, you must ask yourself these very important things!
1) Do you know Where your Beef is being raised?
2) Do you know How your Beef is being raised?
3) Do you know Who is raising the Beef you eat?
and most importantly-
4) Do you know the integrity of the rancher that
raised your Beef?
Six generations of the Nick family have been consistently producing quality beef cattle, and in addition have provided breeding stock and herd sires for many other ranchers across the United States.
Fred Nick said when recently asked about the family's business,
"We are proud of the cattle we raise, and we are pleased to finally offer our packaged grass fed beef to a select group of health conscious consumers. We have been raising our own beef for our family and friends for many years. We knew that our beef had an exceptionally good flavor. We just recently discovered that we have always been raising a 'Health Food' and it took us some time to fully understand all of the real benefits of 100% grass fed beef."
Here is some information that may help you to understand why grass fed beef is so much safer and healthier for you and your family.
Health & Safety Benefits of Grass Fed Beef
Lower in Fat & Calories - Switching to grass fed beef from conventional feedlot beef can save you 17,733 calories per year-without requiring any willpower or change in your eating habits.
Higher in Omega 3 - These are good fats that play a vital role in every cell in your body; essential for brain function too.
Higher in CLA (Conjugated Linoleic Acid)- Another good fat,
a good defense against many types of cancer.
Higher in Vitamin A -The meat from grass fed animals has more Vitamin A than feedlot raised animals. Rather than taking a supplement that you would have to try to absorb, as your body rejects it by flushing it out of your system. Your body readily absorbs the Vitamin A that it retrieves from the delicious cuts of grass fed beef. Sometimes when you receive your grass fed beef in the spring, you will see the evidence of this in the yellow color of the fat. Now you will also know that the yellow color of the fat is actually good for you.
Higher in Vitamin E - The meat from grass fed cattle has been shown to be as much as four times higher in Vitamin E than feedlot cattle. This antioxidant is very important because it can reduce your risk for cardiovascular disease. With grass fed beef the Vitamin E is readily absorbed, unlike some supplements that are just flushed out of the system.
No Antibiotics are Used - Cattle were not meant to eat a diet of grain; therefore they are given antibiotics in the feedlots to treat “subacute acidosis”. After eating this type of meat for a period of time, your body becomes resistant to the bacteria that these medications were meant to treat.
No Growth Hormones or Steroids Used - We believe it is important for our cattle to grow at their own rate, as nature intended. Some grow faster than others and that’s okay, we watch them everyday to see that they are healthy and stress free. We choose not to go back to the conventional way of growing cattle. We feel that our family’s health and your health is worth much more than the extra pounds that some cancer causing growth hormone could produce.
Never Fed Animal By-Products - According to some studies, it has been shown that some conventional producers have done many things to further cut costs of feeding out cattle. Some producers have fed what is called “by-product feedstuff” such as restaurant garbage, stale bread, poultry feathers, and snack foods. According to Jo Robinson of Eat Wild it seems until 1997, U.S. cattle were also being fed meat that had been trimmed from other cattle, in effect turning “herbivores into carnivores”. This unnatural practice is believed to be the underlying cause of BSE or “mad cow” disease. We feed grass, plain and simple, just the way nature intended.
Why NICK RANCH Grass Fed Beef is even better
100% Grass Fed and Grass Finished - Even just a little grain will dilute the natural nutrition that healthy cattle are capable of producing on quality grasses.
No Confinement Used - Our cattle are raised outdoors on pasture; free range, it is the healthy and natural way.
Rotation Grazing Method -This is healthier for both the land and the cattle. No overgrazing, we move the cattle to fresh pasture as they are ready, when the cattle are ready and when the grass is ready. This helps improve the nutritional value of the grasses and the cattle are able to eat the grass when it is at the most beneficial stage.
Delivered Direct to Your Door - Promptly delivered anywhere in the USA.
Dry Aged for Enhanced Flavor & Tenderness -You will appreciate and enjoy the unique flavor and tenderness.
Hand Carved - This is very important for high quality.
Local USDA Inspected Plant - We process our beef at a small plant just a few miles down the road. Every single carcass is carefully, visually inspected, not just randomly spot checked. This guarantees that the beef you get from us is of the highest quality and free from contamination.

Our pastures are USDA Certified Organic, which is how we can Guarantee the Purity.
Our cattle are 100% Grass Fed, which is how we get the flavor and nutrition.
