We are so glad you are interested in purchasing our premium grass fed beef. If this is your first time purchasing grass fed beef please allow us to take a moment to explain the process.
Due to the increased demand for our superior beef, we have implemented some changes in the breeding management of our cow herd.
We have introduced some new blood lines to our Registered Brangus cow herd to achieve an early harvest and other blood lines with genetics to also allow us a later harvest.
This change has given us much more flexibility and the ability to meet the demand for our high quality grass fed beef.
We are now often able to harvest throughout the months of June, July, August and September. Along with the changes in the genetics of our cow herd, we have also been working to improve the soil, grasses and water on our ranch.
We have always had good native feed, so we have researched and found ways to lengthen the growing season. We also work with nature to re-generate native grass growth while maintaining the strongest nutrient value.
If the need arises, we are set up to supplement our cattle prior to harvest with a high quality Certified Organic Alfalfa. Our mother cows are always pasture raised, free-range, they are never fed anything other than what they find out in the fields-that is, until winter 2007. We did have to supplement our cow herd for the first time, due to the several years of drought. Normally, if they can’t take care of themselves, then they can’t take care of a calf, so they wouldn’t be in our herd.
Our cattle are ranch raised in a stress free environment. All of our pastures are Certified Organic. We care about our ranch; this is where we live and raise our families.
You can rest assured that our beef is safe to serve to your family. The grass fed beef we market is the same beef that we eat every day; it’s the very same beef that we serve to our families.
If you have any questions about our growing protocols, please contact us. Thanks again.
